FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New Community Playground on Muncie’s Southeast Side
Muncie, Indiana, October 12, 2015 – The Blaine Southeast Neighborhood Association is in the in the final stages of building a new community playground on Muncie’s Southeast side. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at the new playground location behind the Serenity Club located at 1218 S. Brotherton St., Muncie, Indiana, 47302 at 5:30pm on Friday, October 16th, 2015. The public is invited to attend the celebration. Kids ages five to twelve years old are welcome to play on the new equipment.
Pastor Clifford Clemons made the playground possible by spearheading a grant writing process through KaBoom!, a national non-profit organization that focuses on bringing playgrounds to kids in impoverished communities. With the help of the Association’s board, a volunteer community build effort, and Countryside Play Structures of Parker City, Indiana, the playground will be ready for play at the end of the week.
Community members are invited to enjoy the new playground that has been in the works for nearly 12 months. The equipment’s bright primary colors, and challenging events geared toward kids ages five to twelve, breathe new life into what used to be a barren open field located just behind the Serenity Club on South Brotherton Street.
Blaine Southeast is excited to invite the community to celebrate at the ribbon cutting ceremony, and to have a great new place in Muncie for kids to play!
